Okhana “Roxi” Karas

Ballroom Dance Instructor / Choreographer / Yoga Specialist

With a lifelong passion for dance, Okhana Karas brings decades of experience in ballroom dance instruction, choreography, and movement therapy. She began her dance journey in Ukraine, studying and competing in National Ballroom Dance events before becoming a lead dancer with the prestigious October Palace of Culture Ballroom Formation Team in Kyiv.

Okhana refined her expertise as an instructor and choreographer at the Kyiv Theater of Ballroom Dance, where she trained students in International Standard and Latin styles, preparing them for competitions and stage performances. Her extensive background also includes choreographing show routines for athletes and working with elite performers in the World Natural Bodybuilding Federation.

After moving to the U.S., Okhana expanded her knowledge by studying American Smooth and Rhythm dance at the College of DuPage. She is also the creator of Dance Yoga Flow, a unique program designed to help adult ballroom dancers recover from injuries while maintaining grace and fluidity in their movements.

In addition to her dance career, Okhana is a certified yoga and Ayurveda specialist, integrating holistic movement and wellness into her teaching philosophy. She holds a Master of Arts in Linguistics from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and is fluent in English, Spanish, Russian, and Ukrainian.

As a member of the National Dance Council of America, National Dance Teachers Association of America and Yoga Alliance, Okhana continues to inspire dancers of all levels with her expertise in ballroom dance technique, choreography, costume design, and performance styling.
